CEBS and Forest Of The Rain Productions present Men Make a Difference Panel
Bowling Green, KY – WKU’s College of Education and Behavior Sciences and Forest Of The Rain Productions will present the Men Make a Difference: Student Achievement and Father Involvement panel discussion on October 29th at 6:00 p.m. in Gary A. Ransdell Hall Auditorium.
Panelists will discuss the impact father involvement has on student success and academic achievement. This event is open to teachers, administrators, parents, teacher education majors and anyone interested in the education of children. This is a swipe-able event.
The goal of the conference is to provide local and statewide educators with an opportunity to better understand the importance of effective parental engagement strategies targeted to increase the involvement of African American fathers and significant male role models in the academic lives of children, which ultimately increases the academic achievement of students at the college level.
Panelists include Dr. Michael Robinson, Forest Of The Rain CEO, Creator of National Men Make a Different Day and Western Kentucky University Alum; Dr. Richard Miller, Vice Provost and Chief Diversity Office at Western Kentucky University; Dr. Karen Reynolds, Townsend founder and CEO of KTowansend Consulting; and David Lacey, Executive Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist and AstraZeneca. Denise Hardesty, Coordinator of the Minority Teacher Recruitment Center, will serve as moderator for the panel.
