Minor In Chemistry

Minor in Chemistry

The minor in chemistry (reference number 335) requires a minimum of 18 hours. For a minimum minor a student must have:

CHEM 120/121, 222/223, 330 and courses numbered above 300 to make a total of at least 18 semester hours

Note that at least nine semester hours must be earned in courses numbered 300 and above. One common approach is to take one year of general chemistry (CHEM 120/121 and 222/223), one year of organic chemistry (CHEM 340/341 and 342/343), and quantitative analysis (CHEM 330).

Students interested in a minor are strongly encouraged to contact the department for advising as they plan their degree progress.
