Location: Community Gallery

White Oak basket makers will demonstrate their craft, show their completed baskets, and share their love of basket making with museum visitors. For more information, please contact Lynne.Ferguson@wku.edu. The White Oak Gathering is included with regular museum admission.

 

Gallery Hop: Featuring Basket Exhibit

 Friday, October 14                         5-8PM

Curator's Choice Talk                       6 PM

Location: Western Room and Gallery A

Join the Kentucky Museum for the October Gallery Hop featuring our basket exhibit. Basket maker and exhibit co-curator Beth Hester will give a curator’s talk at 6PM.  Free admission.

 

Basket Celebration

Saturday, November 12              1-3PM

Location: Kentucky Room, Ed Room, Community Gallery  

Basket Share-The Kentucky Museum invites the public to bring baskets in for an informal sharing experience. Tables and chairs will be provided for guests to display and discuss their favorite baskets. Baskets may be beloved family heirlooms, or recently made or purchased basket treasures. For more information, contact Christy.Spurlock@wku.edu  Basket Share hours are included with regular museum admission.

Weaving Activities-Three weaving stations will be offered with weaving activities for all ages. Great activity for families. For more information, please contact Lynne.Ferguson@wku.edu. Weaving activity hours are included with regular museum admission.
