WKU Employee Tuition Waiver Program

WKU Employees and Immediate Family

WKU employees and their immediate families already have a discount program which provides more support than the Chamber or Alumni discount. As mentioned in the Disclaimer, discounts cannot be combined or added together. Information about the tuition waivers and discounts available for WKU employees and their families is found here.

Employee Tuition Waiver Program: Summary

Employees are eligible to receive a tuition waiver for regular courses taken at WKU. Regular full-time employees are eligible to have standard tuition and mandatory fees remitted for up to six (6) credit hours per semester (fall and spring) and up to six (6) credit hours during the Winter and Summer (May included) terms combined (total of 18 credit hours per calendar year). Since the tuition and fees for the PMBA are not standard, the tuition waiver is substantial but does not pay the total special PMBA tuition and fees. Please contact the MBA office for more details.

Currently active part-time employees are eligible to have regular tuition and mandatory fees remitted for up to three (3) credit hours per semester (Fall and Spring) and up to three (3) total credit hours during the Winter and Summer terms (May included) for a total of nine (9) credit hours per calendar year. Other terms and restrictions may apply. Please click here for more details.

Dependent/Spouse or OQD Tuition Discount Program: Summary

Dependent children and spouses of regular full-time employees are eligible to receive tuition discounts for courses taken at Western Kentucky University. A 50% tuition discount applies to the regular tuition and mandatory fees for courses taken. Again, the PMBA tuitions and fees are not standard and are not fully covered by this discount. Other terms and restrictions may apply. Please click here for more details.

DISCLAIMER: The different PMBA tuition discounts/waivers (Chamber, Alumni, WKU Employee/Family) cannot be combined. A student cannot use more than one discount during her or his program. Since the WKU Employee or Family Discount Program is the largest discount, eligible students will want to apply this discount rather than an Alumni or Chamber discount. There also is no "cash value" of the discount/waiver since the discount is a waiver that is simply applied to the tuition bill as specified.
