Nine-year-old Gracie Learner is an experienced speaker with 16 presentations over the last four years to educators of all levels. She is an excellent example of Student Agency in action! Gracie’s humor and candor are refreshing and memorable!
When: Friday, June 24, 2016, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CDT
Where: Dero Downing Student Union, Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY
Registration: April 5 – June 15 (POs, checks, and cash accepted)
$30.00 fee for Early-Bird Registration ($40 after June 15 and on-site)
$15.00 fee for WKU Students
$10.00 fee for Presenters
$100.00 for groups of 4 until June 15th
The School of Teacher Education at Western Kentucky University is hosting a day of professional activities based on the theme Student Agency with Keynote Speakers Terri Stice and Gracie B. Learner. In this one-day conference keynote speakers, subject experts, students and practitioners in the field will share ideas and resources for recognizing and promoting Student Agency for every student.
Who should attend? Teachers and practitioners graduate and undergraduate students in education, P-12 administrators, and university faculty should attend. Register for the conference by completing the online form.
Do I get credit? Teachers can earn professional-development (PD) credit (6 hours) for full-day participation.
