WKU Student Legal Services is a cooperative effort between WKU, the Political Science Department, SGA, external sponsors, and attorney volunteers. Our office provides on-campus legal resources for WKU students. SLS consists of a Clinic Director, who acts as our attorney volunteer; a Clinic Coordinator; and a student intern.
WKU Student Legal Services offers a range of legal services in areas, such as limited criminal/ traffic violations, family law, landlord/tenant cases, small claims and consumer credit, and estate planning. It is the mission of WKU SLS to improve student academic performance and quality of student life by educating students on their legal rights and responsibilities. SLS makes legal services easy to access, easy to afford, and easy to understand.
WKU Student Legal Services has been serving WKU students since 2015. WKU SLS is a nonprofit legal services provider that provides legal services to WKU students for little to no cost. Our primary goal is to assist students in responding to legal problems that may be adversely affecting their well-being or otherwise interfering with their academic studies or goals. WKU SLS makes legal services accessible, affordable, and easy to understand.
