Research
Professor Revels has extensive experience in the application of information systems in the manufacturing enterprise, from the corporate level to the production floor. He teaches in the areas of database management, decision support systems, systems analysis, electronic commerce, and cyberethics. He also has taught in the online environment for several years, with multiple school affliations.

Professor Revels is a member of several professional organizations. In addition, he has presented at national conferences and consulted for business and industry. He currently serves on the International Board of Reviewers for the Journal of Information Technology Education, and sits on the Program Committee for the Journal of Issues in Informing Science and Information Technology. His current research interests include the use of computer-mediated communication as a surrogate for social interaction in computer-based training; the impacts of voice recognition on faculty and students in the online learning environment;and the application of electronic decision support tools in business and industry.
