Dr. Randall Kinnersley

Dr. Kinnersley specializes in government and not-for-profit accounting. His current research focus is primarily in financial reporting by governments and the development of government financial statements. Dr. Kinnersley teaches introductory accounting and government and not-for-profit accounting at the undergraduate level and not-for profit accounting at the graduate level.

Dr. Kinnersley has made professional presentations for the Southwest School of Governmental Finance and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. He has also presented multiple academic papers at several American Accounting Association conferences. Dr. Kinnersley has co-authored journal articles in The Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting, and Financial Management; the Journal of Governmental Financial Management, Government Finance Review and The CPA Journal. Dr. Kinnersley has also consulted with two CPA exam review courses early in his career and recently served for three years on a committee that helped evaluate and edit questions for the FAR section of the CPA exam, prior to submission to the Board of Examiners . Dr. Kinnersley is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the American Accounting Association, and the Association of Government Accountants.
