Bristow Elementary School Installs a Vernal Pond on their Campus (December 14th, 2013)

Development of a "Disconnected Classroom" started October 18, 2013, in Warren County, KY, with installing a vernal pond to provide real-life experiences with scientific material through discovery learning.

Roundstone Native Seed, LLC spreads Seed to Cover the Basin (July 19th, 2013)

On June 20, 2013, Roundstone Native Seed, LLC from Upton, KY, sent two employees to Durbin Estate to spread mixtures of grass seed around the upland waterway and the bottomland. Click title for more information.

"Plugs" Plant Day
"Plugs" Plant Day (June 6th, 2013)

On Monday, June 3 the Durbin site team was finally able to hold Plugs Planting Day. Plugs are small settings of sedges and rushes that were planted along the major Durbin site drainage channel to stabilize the banks and slow flow in rain events.

On Friday, November 30, 2012 twenty-three people showed up to roll up their sleeves and voluntarily get dirty in order to plant ninety (90) trees at the WKU-Habitat for Humanity (HFH) Durbin Project.

The season of Fall welcomes Potter-Gray Elementary School to Trammel Creek in Alvaton, KY to learn about water quality testing.
