UC 175: University Experience
Todd is the Clinical Director of the Talley Family Counseling Center at WKU. Todd is a graduate of WKU’s Mental Health Counseling program, completing the Marriage & Family track in 2008. Todd is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (KY) and board approved supervisor (LPCC-S). Todd’s work history includes residential (outdoor therapeutic program), substance use group work, private practice, and university counseling/higher education settings.
Todd has worked in private practice since 2013 and serves as president and program manager of a group practice. In 2017 Todd became the Clinical Director of the TFCC prioritizing onsite, clinical services in-line with the TFCC mission to extend mental health services to the camps and WKU service region by eliminating barriers of cost and access as well as developing highly-qualified mental health counselors.
TFCC interns are trained in a variety of theoretical orientations including Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems, and systems perspectives. Interns complete seminars in risk/crisis intervention, trauma, couples therapy, and holistic approaches to counseling as well as special populations. The TFCC offers unique opportunities to engage clients via traditional talk therapy modalities as well as play therapy and biofeedback (Heart Rate Variability training).
