WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Research

Dr. Chhachhi specializes in Corporate Financial Management, Investments, and Personal Financial Planning. His current research focuses on Financial Planning and Pedagogy of Education. He is the Director of CFP Board Registered Program at WKU and teaches undergraduate and MBA courses in Advanced Financial Management, Investments, and Insurance.

Dr. Chhachhi's publications include "The Performance of Transfer versus 'Native' Students in Principles of Finance," Journal of Financial Education, "A Comparison of the Market Reaction to Specially Designated Dividends and Tender Offer Stock Repurchases," Financial Management, and "A Test for Price Pressure Effects in Tender Offer Stock Repurchases," Financial Review. He is a member of the Financial Management Association and several other academic and professional associations. Professor Chhachhi also serves as the Director of the Tennessee Valley Authority's Investment Challenger Program. As part of this program, money was allocated by TVA to Western Kentucky University and 23 other schools in the TVA service region. This TVA portfolio, currently valued about $300,000 (as of December, 2009), invests in the stock market and is managed by undergraduate as well as graduate students.
Dr. Chhachhi is also a Registered Investment Adviser, and a member of the FINRA/SIPC.
