Jazz Ensemble

 

The WKU Jazz Band performs a wide repertoire of jazz music, from swing standards to cutting-edge selections from the present. There are significant opportunities for improvisation. Outstanding instruction in improvisation skill development and authentic performance of style is provided.   Membership in the Tuesday/Thursday Jazz Band is obtained through audition. A second jazz band meets on Wednesday and is open to anyone with musical experience on specific instruments.  Contact Marshall Scott for more information.
