It is the position of the University Police Department that among the violations of misconduct considered to be of an especially serious nature are those that represent a threat to the safety and health of members of the University Community. These include but are not limited too, harassment, physical violence or threat of violence, non-consensual sexual contact, rape or any form of sexual violence.
The Western Kentucky University Police Department reports all crimes to the Kentucky State Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation using the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS).
These statistics include additions to what is required by the Federal Campus Crime and Security (Clery) Act and Kentucky Campus and Crime Security (Minger) Act. Detailed information concerning the WKU Police Department, an on-line Daily Crime Report, and the many safety and security programs we have to offer can be found at www.wku.edu/police.
