Get Involved!

The Student Government Association welcomes all students to give input and to get involved.  Students can serve in the SGA in many ways, whether as a SGA officer or by working as the student representative on  a university committee.  Each student on the Hill has unique perspectives and ideas regarding the issues we face; the SGA can only address all these issues with your help.

Please click here to learn about our Senate Committees and how you can be involved. You do not have to be a senator to be involved in a committee!

Why Should I Get Involved?

  • To make a difference. Students are the reason this University exists – our opinions matter.
  • To gain diverse experiences. SGA represents all students and organizations at WKU, allowing for many diverse opportunities.
  • To gain leadership experience. Involvement in SGA gives you tools you need to be a successful leader.
  • To meet people and obtain contacts that can help you in your college life and after you leave Western.
