WKU WEATHER ALERT:

Due to the impending winter weather, WKU Owensboro will close at noon today (Wed., 3/4).

WKU Glasgow evening classes that begin at 5 pm today will be canceled and the WKU Glasgow campus will close at 7 pm.

WKU Elizabethtown-Fort Knox campus will close today at 3 pm and will remain closed Thurs., Fri, and Sat., March 5-7.

Should inclement weather make travel hazardous, residence halls will remain open until Saturday. Follow WKU Housing & Residence Life for updates.

The high school regional basketball tournament games scheduled for tonight have been canceled. Games will be rescheduled for Friday/Saturday.

Summer Sessions

Current WKU Students

Advising

For the summer sessions, there is no mandatory advising requirement for undergraduate students. However, students are encouraged to consult with their advisors to be assured of appropriate course selections.

Registration

**Priority Registration Schedule** 
March 16 and after – Graduate Students and Seniors (90 or more earned hours)
March 17 and after – Juniors (60 – 89 earned hours)
March 18 and after – Sophomores (30 – 59 earned hours)
March 19 and after – Freshmen (0 – 29 earned hours)

Undergraduate Student Eligibility

Undergraduate students are eligible to take summer courses if they are:

  • Enrolled during the 2014 Summer term or Fall semester or 2015 Winter term/Spring semester, or
  • Officially admitted or re-admitted for the 2015 Summer term.

Housing

The Residence Hall for the 2015 summer sessions is TBD.

  • Double Room (living with a roommate): $120 per week
  • Private Room: $180 per week

There are a limited number of private rooms which are given on a first come, first served basis.

Check-In Process

Whenever you are ready to move in to the summer hall, check into a room at the front desk.

The front desk is open 24/7 and available to assign you a room at any time. Payment information will be available to you at check in.

Stay as little or as long as you need (summer hall closes at noon on Friday, August 14, 2015).

Meal Plan

20 block meals & 100 meal plan dollars for $230.

Sign up at the ID Center in Garrett 100D - Meal Plans must be paid in full at time of purchase.

Graduate Student Eligibility

Graduate students are eligible to take summer courses if they are:

  • Enrolled during the 2014 Summer term or Fall semester or 2015 Winter term/Spring semester, or
  • Officially admitted or re-admitted for the 2015 Summer term.

Course Load

Summer course load is restricted to the following limits within specified time periods:

Financial Aid Eligibility

Students receiving financial aid must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours in any combination of sessions from May 18 – Aug 13.
