Dr. Corie Martin joined WKU in 2008 and serves as the Director of Web Services and Digital Marketing for the Division of WKU Public Affairs. Her office oversees content creation and management for key areas of the WKU.edu website and official social media presences for the University. Martin contributes to the office of Marketing and Communications, and she is part of the WKU News team. Her work has supported the offices of WKU Enrollment Management, the Graduate School, Admissions, the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program, and the WKU College of Education and Behavioral Sciences.
Martin's initiatives have included the migration of the WKU.edu website into an enterprise-wide content managment system and the launch of interactive initiatives including:
- The WKU Virtual Tour
- The WKU Schools App
- Google Street View
- Hobsons Connect CRM implementation
The Office of Creative Web Services has received numerous local, state and regional awards including Best Social Media, Best Website and Implementation, Online Innovation, Special Events Marketing Campaign, and Marketing/Communications Best Practices from CASE-KY, CASE III and the Professional Marketing Association of Bowling Green. Dr. Martin was awarded the WKU Staff Excellence Award for Professional Staff Member of the Year in 2012.
Martin's work can be seen in LINK: The Journal of Higher Ed Web Professionals and she has been featured in University Business magazine and on Forbes.com. She presents nationally and is considered an expert in the field of higher ed social media and interactive student engagement. She was chosen as one of 15 presenters at the 2014 and 2016 Higher Ed Social Media Conferences sponsored by higheredexperts.com. In 2015 she received nominations for 40 Women to Watch Over 40 and Marketer of the Year from the Professional Marketing Association of Bowling Green, KY.

Dr. Martin completed her doctorate in Postsecondary Educational Leadership from the WKU College of Education and Behavioral Sciences in 2015 with a research emphasis in social media and student recruitment. @WKUDocMartin
