South Central AHEC & CHHS Host 'HOSA on the Hill'

The South Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and WKU College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) hosted "HOSA on the Hill" on Friday, November 18th, 2011 in Downing University Center. 

412 high school HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) students from 16 regional high schools attended this annual event, which is a practice competition preparing students for the KY State Competition in March. We offered 13 health-related competitive events, mostly judged by CHHS faculty and staff. Also offered were campus tours, advisor networking, and presentations on professionalism and the importance of being examples of healthy living as health professionals.
