AHEC Conducts Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreting Class

The South Central AHEC conducted the Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreting Class in June for 9 people. Patty Tarquino completed the Train the Trainer for Bridging the Gap in March and she conducted her first training for AHEC in June. The training was held at the Bowling Green Fire Department on Fairview Avenue. The applicants will be interpreting for the following languages: Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, and Swahili. Additional Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter Training classes will be held in the fall or spring after our trainer, Patti, adjusts to being a new Mother!
