???? Abstract:

This talk will explore finite mixture regression models, which allow us to analyze data where different groups exhibit distinct regression relationships. The Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm is widely used for maximum likelihood estimation in such models. The presentation will provide a step-by-step walkthrough of the EM algorithm and its practical applications in ‘R’ using the ‘flexmix’ package.
