Scholarships


Department of Political Science Scholarships

The Department offers a five scholarship opportunities that have been established through funds provided donors. 

 

Betty Hoch Evans Merit Scholarship Fund in Political Science

Must be a full-time student majoring in Political Science within Potter College of Arts & Letters. Student must excel in his/her studies and demonstrate excellence in their education. Financial need is to be considered.

 

Carl P. Chelf Political Science Scholarship Fund

Must be a full-time junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science within the Department of Political Science . Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. First preference will be given to residents of Hart County. Financial need is a consideration. 

 

Congressman William H. Natcher Scholarship Fund 

Must be a full-time student pursuing a major in Political Science. Must be a gradute of a high school in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and demonstrate finanical need. 

 

Jonathan Andrew Evans Merit Scholarship

Must be a full-time student majoring in the liberal arts, with preference to Philosophy. 

 

Dr. Larry D. Mayhew Memorial Scholarship Fund

Must be a full-time student majoring or minoring in Philosophy. Academic excellence and financial need are considered. Must demonstrate outstanding work in logic, epistemology, or metaphysics.
