Dance Day
Spring 2024 Dance Day
As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our Evening of Dance concert, we are offering a special day of dance. Alumni and Future Hilltoppers Day of Dance will occur on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Current WKU Dance faculty will offer 30 minute dance sessions in various genres for our alumni to enjoy another experience of dancing in Gordon Wilson Hall and future hilltoppers can learn from faculty and connect with alumni. This special Day of Dance will be from 12:30 - 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Gordon Wilson Hall Studio A. Schedule will be as follows:
12:30 - Ballet Barre with Roberto Sifontes
01:00 - Ballet Combination with Anna Patsfall
01:30 - Jazz Dance Combination with Amanda Poitras
02:00 - Modern Dance Combination with Meghen McKinley
02:30 - Tap Dance Combination with Amanda Clark (move to our new tap studio, GWH 105!)
We are excited to dance with you again or for the first time in Gordon Wilson Hall. Alumni and future Hilltoppers can register here.

Are you wondering if a dance major or minor may be for you? Dance Day is an opportunity each semester for prospective students to sample the WKU Dance Program and see what it's all about. Participants will take a class with WKU dance faculty, meet with faculty to learn more about the curriculum, and attend a mainstage dance concert. Dance Day does not replace the dance placement audition day required for students who have definitely chosen to pursue the B.A. in Dance. Nor is it meant for the student with no dance experience. But if you're somewhere between, wondering if the WKU Dance Program could be your new home, come give us a try.
Dance Day Schedule:
(All times are central time.)
11:45 am - Registration
12 - 1 pm - Dance Class (genre rotates each semester)
1 - 1:30 pm - Information Session / Q & A session with WKU Dance Faculty
2 pm - Complimentary tickets to WinterDance / Evening of Dance
We look forward to seeing you dance at a Dance Day event!
