The LRDC is a joint venture between BGMU Fiber, a division of Bowling Green Municipal Utilities, and Western Kentucky University. The LRDC is located in WKU’s Center for Research and Development and is a Tier II co-location facility offering businesses a secure site to locate servers and business critical data. Features of the Lost River Data Center:

    • Quarter Cabinet – 9 Rack Units 

The LRDC is home to WKU’s High Performance Computing Center (HPCC) which is designed with “green” technology. The HPCC provides:

  • High Quality 24/7 Support
  • 3 Clusters of 128 Nodes with 8 Cores per Node
  • and 32GB Ram
  • 1 Cluster of 17 Nodes with over 7000 GPU
  • Cores and 96GB Memory per Node
  • 200 TB Storage with Robotic Tape Backup
