WKU graduate students attend technology conference
- Wednesday, November 16th, 2011
Five graduate students from WKU’s Master of Science in Engineering Technology Management (MSETM) attended the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) national conference last week in Cleveland, Ohio.
Adam Ray of Caneyville, a first semester graduate student, was elected to the ATMAE Executive Board as the national student representative replacing Josh Ferriell of Bowling Green, a WKU MSETM graduate. Ferriell is an assistant plant manager with Carpenter Co.
Seven WKU MSETM graduate students submitted research proposals to the ATMAE Graduate Research Presentation and Poster Competition. Of the seven, Blake Cvengros of Paducah and Jason Shields of Ashland were selected as two of the four finalists and invited to present. Also attending the conference were graduate assistants Joleen Byerline of Leitchfield and Brittney Perry of Zachary, La., who presented a paper at last year’s conference.
