His research areas include international agricultural education, STEM concepts in agricultural education, college and career readiness of secondary students, technical agriculture competencies, and barriers to college student success.
Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Kingery taught secondary agriculture for sixteen years in central Indiana. His specific content areas focused on agriculture mechanics, animal science, FFA, youth development and leadership. He was raised on a diversified livestock and production farm with an emphasis in swine production, shorthorn cattle, and corn & soybean production. He was a ten year 4-H member and enjoyed showing livestock in the Midwest and National shows. He is originally from the Westfield, Indiana and is married to Becky, a Fresno State Graduate with a major in Animal Science. He and his wife have three children, Maddie, Ireland, & Liam. In his free time he enjoys restoring antique tractors, fishing, hunting, and helping his children with their 4-H animals.
