41st Annual Mathematics Symposium at WKU Feb. 25

Dr. Chris Bemis will be the featured speaker at the Mathematics Sympsosium.
The 41st Annual Mathematics Symposium at WKU will take place from 3 to 9:15 p.m. Friday (Feb. 25).
Registration is free and begins at 3 p.m. on the Ogden College Hall, first floor foyer.
The symposium opens with remarks from Dr. Kanita DuCloux, Interim Chair of the Department of Mathematics, and Dr. David Brown, Dean of Ogden College of Science and Engineering, at 3:45 p.m. in Ogden Hall Auditorium.
Dr. Chris Bemis, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of X Cubed Capital Management, will present The Incorporation of Constraints as Views in Mean-Variance Optimization from 4 to 5:05 p.m. in Ogden College Hall Auditorium.
Research presentations will be held from 5:15 to 9:15 p.m. in Snell Hall and Ogden College Hall. The full schedule and abstracts are available online.
Free refreshments will be available during the symposium, and free dinner will be served at 6:40 p.m.
The event is sponsored by Ogden College of Science and Engineering, The Gatton Academy, Department of Mathematics, Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics Student Chapter of WKU, and WKU American Mathematical Society Student Chapter.
