WKU’s Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL) awarded architecture science professor Dr. O.E. Mansour an Innovative Teaching Grant.
Dr. Mansour’s work explores how learning objectives of a project-based architectural course (AS 373 – Architectural Documentation II) as well as classroom activities improve the course quality and enhance the intended learning outcome.
“The results show a novel insight on possible adjustments for the student learning objectives and class activities, specifically in this class, and could be implemented in other project-based classes,” he said.
Dr. Mansour presented on this study at the American Society for Engineering Education Conference in June 2022.
The Innovative Teaching Grant is intended to fund projects focused on student learning including designing or redesigning a course. It supports faculty interested in testing new tactics on a smaller scale, participating in pedagogical training programs, or presenting their pedagogical work at a conference.
