When the Universe was Young April 22-May 22 at planetarium
- Friday, April 18th, 2014
When the Universe was Young opens April 22 at WKU’s Hardin Planetarium.
Show times are 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 2 p.m. Sunday through May 22.
About the show: We are the first generation of humans to know what our universe was like at the very beginning. Less than 100 years ago people thought that our galaxy was all there was and that it had never, ever changed. We have since come to realize, whether we like it or not, that our galaxy is just one of at least hundreds of billions of galaxies in a universe that has been changing constantly since it began almost 14 billion years ago. Join us to explore how we understand what it was like when the universe was young.
The 60-minute show is free suitable for all ages. Note: The show will begin on time, with no late entrance permitted.
