The WKU Department of Agriculture will hold its Industrial Hemp Conference and Field Day July 12 at the L.D. Brown Agricultural Exposition Center in Bowling Green.

The first 100 participants to register online will receive free registration that includes lunch. Registration is $10. The first 200 participants to register online will receive a field plot tour of industrial hemp research being conducted at WKU’s Agriculture Research and Education Complex.

The conference agenda includes updates on latest industrial hemp research from specialists at WKU, University of Kentucky and University of Tennessee. During lunch, state and federal policymakers will participate in a roundtable discussion on the future of industrial hemp.

If you wish to be a participating vendor at this conference, the cost is $50. If your company would like to sponsor this event beyond participating as a vendor, contact the WKU Department of Agriculture at (270) 745-3151.
