Colleagues,
As we approach the end of another semester, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your unwavering commitment to our students and our university. Together, we have accomplished much this academic term, and you continue to create an environment where learning, growth and innovation thrive.
The end of the semester brings unique challenges for our students, and your support - whether in the classroom, in student services or behind the scenes - plays a vital role in helping them finish strong. Thank you for your efforts to encourage, inspire and guide them to the finish line. In doing so, you exemplify that special WKU Spirit that can be found only on our Hill.
For many of our students, this week marks the end of their time studying at WKU. Our College Recognition Ceremonies take place this Friday, and I invite you to join me in celebrating our fall 2024 graduates. For more information about the ceremonies, please visit this link. For those who do not plan to attend these ceremonies, I ask that all supervisors implement flexible working arrangements to the extent possible, allowing offices to remain open and supported by minimal staff on campus, with the majority of staff working remotely. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us ease campus congestion as we welcome thousands of visitors to campus.
As a token of our appreciation for your hard work and dedication to WKU, we are pleased to offer tickets to two upcoming basketball games, as well as vouchers for free concessions.
Men's Basketball — Saturday, Dec. 21 vs. Kentucky Wesleyan (2:00 p.m.)
The first 250 faculty and staff members can claim up to two free game tickets, with the option to purchase additional tickets for $10 each, and up to two vouchers for one free beverage (soda or water) and one free food item (hotdog or popcorn). Additionally, after all free tickets have been claimed, faculty and staff may purchase game tickets for $10 each.
Tickets must be claimed or purchased in person at the Diddle Arena Ticket Office (U.S. Bank Entrance, Gate 1) by Friday, December 13. The WKU Ticket Office is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Additionally, after all tickets have been claimed, faculty and staff may purchase tickets for $5 each.

Finally, I want to express my gratitude to those who will help maintain continuity of campus operations by working during the Winter Break. Whether ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, teaching, preparing for the spring semester or providing essential services, I appreciate all that you do. For those of you able to step away, I hope this Winter Break provides an opportunity for rest and renewal with time to recharge and enjoy the season with loved ones.
I wish you a joyful holiday season and a terrific Winter Break. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the new year.
Go Tops!
Best,
Timothy C. Caboni
