On Monday (Oct. 28) the WKU-Glasgow Greentoppers will be hosting the 2^nd Annual B.O.O. (Buying Our Own).  B.O.O. will begin at 11 a.m. and last until 4:30 p.m. at WKU-Glasgow Campus.

Barren County’s Groce Produce will be on campus with a large variety of pumpkins, gourds and mums for purchase. Be sure to paint one of these local pumpkins (paint supplies provided) and enter it in our “Pumpkin Painting Contest” to win a great prize. 

The goal of this event is to show that local items offer variety, quality and are often less expensive than big box/chain stores.  Supporting local business also leads to a more sustainable local economy and builds community ties.  Local low-mileage items are also kinder to our environment.

This event is open to everyone in our community and we encourage everyone to come out and “Buy Local” at B.O.O.

The WKU-Glasgow Greentoppers are a student-led organization on the campus of WKU-Glasgow that promotes sustainability and encourages supporting our local economy.
