The Society for Lifelong Learning is offering an 8-week astronomy course taught by Professor Richard Gelderman. Each session takes place at Hardin Planetarium on Thursday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Topics include: The Galaxy Zoo, The Improbability of Black Holes, Dark Matter / Dark Energy, Discovering the Expansion of our Universe, The Moment of Creation, and Our Cosmic Fate

Dear Faculty and Students,

To celebrate the research of our faculty and students, this year’s CEBS REACH event will occur on April 14 from 3:00-5:00pm. This event will highlight faculty and student poster presentations and a symposium on “Persistence and Academic Success in Higher Education” by EDD program graduates. Brian Meredith, WKU’s Chief Enrollment Officer, will give a guest presentation following the symposium.

We ask each faculty member and student who would like to showcase their research to participate in any or all of the following:

1. Poster Presentations (3:00~4:00pm; 1st floor GRH lobby/atrium)
   1) Any 2012-current posters you are interested in displaying are welcome.
   2) Email a list of your poster presentations and/or your students’ poster presentations (i.e., poster titles and presenter names) to your departmental rep on the CEBS Reach Week Committee by March 25th at 5:00pm

2. CEBS Reach Event Slide Show (All day; 1st floor GRH)
 1) One PowerPoint slide from each faculty member and student who would like to showcase their research in the slide show.

 2) Please complete the provided PowerPoint template (attachment)
    a. Download the template. Select the template from the list of master slides.
    b. Click on View then select Normal.
    c. Insert text and an image. Please limit the information in the text box to 8 bullets
    d. Click on File then select Save As. Save the file as a PowerPoint Presentation.

 3) Email your faculty slide and student slide(s) to your departmental rep on the CEBS Reach Week Committee by March 25th at 5:00pm.
