First-Gen High School Summer Camp is designed to build familiarity with campus life; build the skills to be a great college student; and build connections with faculty, staff, current WKU students, and other high school students on the same journey. First-Gen Camp is a residential camp on the campus of Western Kentucky University (WKU). It is presented by a collaboration of faculty and staff from across the university who are advocates for the university’s F1rst Gen initiative, which is coordinated through the WKU Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning.
High school students who will be sophomores and juniors in the fall are invited to apply. Check the camp webpage for details: https://www.wku.edu/firstgen/camp/
