The Hilltop String Festival is an intensive program housed on the beautiful campus of Western Kentucky University, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Festival offers dedicated string players the opportunity to deepen their musical and instrumental skill through studying with world-renowned faculty members. The program includes lessons, master classes, chamber music, performance opportunities, faculty concerts, practice coaching, and musical enrichment.
Students will receive:
- multiple individual private lessons
- daily technique class
- daily chamber music coachings
- masterclass performance opportunities
- daily musicianship training
- practice coaching
- multiple solo and chamber performances
- performance attendance

A three-week residential camp held in June and July, VAMPY offers high-ability students who have completed grades 7–10 the chance to focus on one course during six class hours each weekday plus a nightly hour-long study hall. Classes are taught by highly motivated WKU faculty and high school teachers who are thrilled to have equally highly motivated students.

Camp Innovate is a one-week day camp designed for students with advanced ability and high interest who were in grades three, four, or five during the previous school year.
