WKU Forensics wins at Marshall University

The WKU Forensics team captured the overall team sweepstakes championship at the Marshall University Memorial Tournament and Ohio University Swing hosted on the campus of Marshall University October 21-22.
WKU won both IE team sweepstakes in both halves of the tournament over Ohio University and Bowling Green State University, Bellevue College, and Marshall University. WKU also won debate sweepstakes ahead of Illinois State University, University of North Texas, and Penn State University. Combining wins in debate and speech sweepstakes earned WKU the overall sweepstakes championship.
WKU Forensics will compete next at Middle Tennessee State University.

- After Dinner Speaking: Sophie Todaro of St. Paul, Minnesota, 1st; Joey Eberle, 2nd; Dakota Perry of Morehead, Kentucky, 4th; Kole Ingram of Hindman, Kentucky, 6th.
- Extemporaneous Speaking: Kole Ingram, 1st.
- Dramatic Interpretation: Karon Petty of Spring, Texas, 3rd.
- Program Oral Interpretation: Karon Petty, 1st; Jacob Holbrook of Morehead, Kentucky, 4th.
- Communication Analysis: Jaleon Brown of Raytown, Missouri, 1st; Dakota Perry, 2nd.
- Duo Interpretation: Caroline Chubb of Lewis Center, Ohio, and Denise Marin of Houston, Texas, 1st.
- Individual Sweepstakes: Joey Eberle, 2nd.
