- View from the Hill: WKU broadcasting senior uses passions to fuel projects: WKU senior Elijah Smith of Fancy Farm has found a way to overlap two of his biggest passions, television production and video games. Smith decided to come to WKU for its top-notch broadcasting and journalism program. Landing a job at the PBS station was icing on the cake. Now in his senior year, Smith is taking full advantage of every opportunity. WKU's Amy Bingham explains in this week’s View from the Hill.
- WKU’s Online MBA Program ranked No. 1 in Kentucky: The online MBA program in WKU’s Gordon Ford College of Business has been ranked No. 1 in Kentucky by Online MBA Report. More: Q&A with MBA Director Bob Hatfield
- Spring 2019 Parking and Transportation: Spring semester classes begin Tuesday (Jan. 22). Check out updates for the parking and transit operations for the spring semester -- Housing parking regulations resume at 4:30 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 20); normal parking regulations and full transit services resume at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 22).
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Men’s basketball: Lead Slips Away from Tops in 77-76 Loss to FIU: WKU Hilltopper Basketball saw another double-digit lead slip away Thursday night, falling 77-76 to FIU at E.A. Diddle Arena. Next: WKU will host FAU at 2 p.m. Saturday followed by Marshall at 8 p.m. Monday.
- Women’s basketball: Career Days from Givens, Elgedawy Push WKU Past FIU, 94-82: Dee Givens and Raneem Elgedawy both produced career-best scoring days and WKU enjoyed another hot-shooting performance on Thursday afternoon inside the Ocean Bank Convocation Center, downing FIU, 94-82, to remain perfect in C-USA action this season. Next: WKU at FAU at 1 p.m. Saturday.
- Tennis: Lady Toppers Open Spring Season at Kentucky: WKU women's tennis is set to open its spring campaign at 2018 NCAA Tournament team [RV] Kentucky this afternoon. The match will begin at 2 p.m. CT at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington.
- Track & Field: Vanderbilt Invitational Up Next for WKU: Coming off a solid 2019 opener last weekend, the WKU Track and Field squads are set to make their first of two indoor trips to Music City with the Vanderbilt Invitational on deck for the weekend. The Red and White will be among 25 schools represented at the two-day outing.
- Baseball and Softball: 2019 Season Tickets on Sale: With the 2019 WKU Baseball and Softball seasons just around the corner, flexible season ticket packages are now available for purchase. Fans can purchase tickets online, by calling 1-800-5-BIGRED or in person at the WKU Ticket Office during business hours.
- Baseball: Countdown to First Pitch - 100 Days of Hilltopper History: As WKU prepares for the 100th Season of Hilltopper Baseball, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Baseball, leading up to First Pitch at Nick Denes Field on February 15. More: Fan voting open for All Century Team.

- New source of weather data online in Tri-county area: Gathering weather information in Kentucky keeps getting more local, and Webster County is the latest place to get special equipment that helps with that mission. The Kentucky Mesonet project, based at WKU, has completed installation of a new, constantly updated weather data station in Webster County.
