WKU News
- The WKU Commons at Helm Library taking shape: A collaboration with Aramark/Restaurant Group and University Libraries is leading to the creation of a reinvented space in WKU’s Helm Library. The University released conceptual drawings for The WKU Commons at Helm Library on Thursday afternoon and the final schematic design will be presented this morning to the Board of Regents. The $35 million project will transform the Helm Library into a place where WKU students, faculty and staff can eat, meet, study and collaborate. More: View from the Hill
- WKU Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter to spend spring break in North Carolina: Members of the WKU Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter will be spending their spring break in Taylorsville, North Carolina. The WKU group will be working on projects with Alexander County Habitat for Humanity next week (March 3-9) as part of Habitat’s efforts to eliminate substandard housing.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Board of Regents to conduct quarterly meeting today: The WKU Board of Regents will conduct its quarterly meeting today (March 1), beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT in the Martin Regents Room of Jody Richards Hall.
WKU Sports
- Men’s basketball: Hilltoppers Rally in Second Half for 73-67 Road Win at UAB: WKU Hilltopper Basketball headed into March on a positive note, rallying for a gutsy 73-67 road win at UAB on Thursday. The Hilltoppers (17-12 overall, 10-6 Conference USA) trailed 36-31 at halftime, but came to life in the last 10 minutes of the game. Next: WKU vs. Southern Miss at 2 p.m. Sunday at Diddle Arena; event parking
- Softball: Hilltoppers Looking to Continue Hot Streak at Samford: WKU Softball is headed for the three-day Samford Invitational in Birmingham, Ala., today through Sunday, where the squad will face off against Evansville, Jackson State, Houston Baptist and Samford. Riding a five-game win streak and off to the best start in program history at 10-2, the Hilltoppers will look to continue to build on their impressive non-conference tear.
- Baseball: Toppers Up Against Tough Opponents in Cox Diamond Invitational: WKU Baseball travels to the Gulf Coast for three neutral-site games in the Cox Diamond Invitational at Blue Wahoos Stadium. The Hilltoppers will face off against North Florida, Louisiana Monroe and Tennessee; first pitch times will be today at 6 p.m., Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.
- Tennis: Weekend in Nashville Up Next For Lady Toppers: WKU Tennis is scheduled for a weekend trip to Nashville, Tenn., as the Lady Toppers take on Tennessee State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. WKU will play the Tigers today at noon followed by a match-up against the Golden Lions on Saturday at 5 p.m.
