Professional Education Unit
The Professional Education Unit (PEU) is a collaboration across all education programs at Western Kentucky University (WKU). The PEU is distributed across four of the campus colleges: 1) College of Education and Behavioral Sciences; 2) College of Health and Human Services; 3) Potter College of Arts and Letters; and 4) Ogden College of Science and Engineering. The PEU is comprised of over 30 initial certification areas and over 50 advanced level certifications. The PEU supports approximately 800 admitted and enrolled undergraduate teacher candidates. The work of the PEU is enhanced by extensive P-12 partnerships across the state of Kentucky.
