Research in the Department of Allied Health:
The Dental Hygiene Program has several ongoing student projects including:
- Ozone therapy in Dentistry
- Computer Controlled Delivery of local anesthetics vs. traditional delivery
- Examining the use of three dimensional printing to create prostheses within the dental field as well as reviewing a new procedure to reduce gingival recession known as the Pinhole Surgical Technique conducted within the clinical setting
- Oral Health of Vegetarians
- Mouth-to-Mouth Transmission of Pathogens
- Oral Hygiene Access and Care in the U.S. Prison System.
