Appointment

Members of this committee are appointed by the Associate Provost for Research & Graduate Education with the advice of the IACUC Chair and the Compliance Manager.

 

Purpose

Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is qualified through the experience and expertise of its members to oversee the institution's animal program, facilities, and procedures in order to comply with the Public Health Service Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals.

 

Meetings

This committee is required to meet twice per year by federal guidelines. The committee meets on an additional as needed basis based on applications submitted.
