The General concentration emphasizes the training of students with backgrounds in economics and other arts and sciences for careers that require strong quantitative skills, technical tools, and communication abilities that can be applied to a broad range of subjects. 1 Students with prior credit for ECON 465 or its equivalent will be required to take
3 additional hours of electives. 2 If only 9 hours of electives are completed, students must sign up for the 6-hour ECON 596. If 12 hours of electives are taken, students may register for the 3-hour ECON 596. Electives shown are based on recently offered courses. Not all courses may be available and other electives may be offered. Up to 6 hours of graduate coursework can be taken outside the Economics department, subject to approval by the program director. |
