Building on the excellent series of talks last fall sponsored by School of Journalism & Broadcasting about important events in the United States in the consequential year 1968, the WKU History Department invites you to a presentation that expands the focus beyond just America. We will explore the Prague Spring, the May 1968 uprising in Paris, the protest and massacre in Mexico City in connection with the Mexico Olympics, and the explosive rise of modern feminism and the election of Shirley Chisholm as the first African American woman in Congress.
