Join us for a 1.5 hour live Zoom Kentucky’s Early Childhood Standards: Social Emotional Development and Health and Mental Wellness
The purpose of the Early Childhood Standards is to provide educators with a guide to preparing children for success in school, starting in infancy through four-year-olds. After taking this session on the Social Emotional Development and Health and Mental Wellness domains, participants will be able to identify the components and alignment of the Social Emotional Development and Health and Mental Wellness domains, identify strategies for supporting families an practitioners in identifying age appropriate practices, explain the developmental continuum of skills in each domain from birth to four and how these skills support kindergarten readiness.
Training Outcomes:

Identify the components of the Social Emotional and Health/Mental Wellness Early Childhood Standards.
- Identify strategies to support families and practitioners in identifying age-appropriate practices.

Understand the continuum of skills from birth to three, three and four, and Kindergarten.
- Awareness of the alignment of Social Emotional and Health/Mental Wellness Early Childhood Standards with Head Start Standards.
