Audience:  All Staff, Family Child Care, Registered Providers, Child Care Centers
The cost of this training is $5.00.

Join us for a 1 hour in-person, live Brigance III Overview training.

Participants will receive an introduction to the Brigance Early Childhood Screens III: 3-5 years. They will have the opportunity to watch examples of the screener being used and practice scoring the screener. Participants will learn how and when to administer the screener with their class and which screener form to use.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to understand the basic concepts behind the Brigance III Screener Tool. Determine the frequency of the screening within the classroom. Support children’s development by following proper follow-up steps after completing the screener.

The Brigance screener is aligned with both Kentucky's school readiness key definition and Kentucky's early childhood standards. The Brigance Screener III will help identify any areas of development that need more specialized attention, or even assistance from outside programs.
