The cost of this training is $10.00.
Join us for a 2 hour in-person, live Understanding Social and Emotional Development training.
This training addresses Social and Emotional Development in young children. Participants will learn strategies to support social and emotional development in infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. They will hear a mini-lecture with a PowerPoint presentation. Participants will analyze case studies to better understand social and emotional development. They will then brainstorm ideas of appropriate activities to support and foster social and emotional development.
Training Outcomes:
- Define social and emotional development.
- Describe social and emotional milestones for the age group they serve.
- Explain ways to teach children to express anger in appropriate ways.
- Describe 2 theorist beliefs about social and emotional development.
- Define temperament.
- Name 3 types of play and their roles in social and emotional development.

CDA Subject Area: Positive ways to support children’s social and emotional development, Principles of child development and learning
Directions: The training link will be emailed at least 24 hours before the start of the event. Please make sure that you log into the training website and can access the Zoom link PRIOR to the training. There are not staff available to troubleshoot after 3:00pm.
