Want feedback on your SMART Scholarship essay? Bring a draft and come to the HC for this workshop. We will have pizza, drinks, and several readers.
The SMART Scholarship pays for tuition and education-related fees and provides a stipend of $25,000 - $41,000, depending on prior educational experience, paid summer internships, a health insurance reimbursement allowance, and employment after graduation in a government lab. Undergraduate and graduate students in the STEM fields are eligible to apply.

WKU faculty, staff and students will read the names of all U.S. soldiers that have died in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past 10 years. The names of Kentucky’s war fatalities will be read starting around 3 pm.

The Draft Approval Form is turned in to the Honors College two weeks prior to the defense date with a hard copy of your CE/T draft. All three readers and the Honors College will receive a hard copy of your CE/T draft. The first and second readers sign this form telling the Honors College that your CE/T is ready to defend. You will also attach documentation of your approved conference presentation to the Draft Approval Form. You should allow all of your readers two weeks to review your CE/T draft before your defense.
No defenses will be scheduled during finals week.

Students will be writing letters to their former high school teachers, guidance counselors, mentors, and others who have helped them grow into successful collegiate scholars. This opportunity allows students to say “Thank You” to anyone who has made a major impact in their life. Pizza and snacks will be served to those who participate!
