Honors Calendar

This form is turned in to the Honors College within the first two weeks of the semester you will defend. You must obtain the signatures of both readers on this form. The form tells the Honors College that you will defend by finals of that semester and that you are ready to be assigned a third reader.

Honors Development Grants (HDGs) are designed to support Honors students’ intellectual development by providing funding to offset costs for traveling to professional conferences to present academic papers, conducting academic research or projects, and purchasing tangible items to support academic endeavors.

Honors College students are strongly encouraged to always attempt to earn Honors credit in their major and minor areas through enrolling in stand-alone Honors sections or Honors Enriched Embedded Courses (HEECs). However, the Honors College realizes that it is not always possible for students to fully satisfy the Honors curriculum through these options. Therefore, Honors Augmentations Contracts (HACs) are designed to allow Honors students to earn Honors credit in upper-division courses by working closely with a course's instructor to develop and participate in a creative and rigorous "Honors experience" distinct from the course's other assignments.

Honors Travel Abroad Grants (TAGs) are designed to support Honors students' intellectual development by encouraging and supporting Honors students' participation in Study Abroad and Study Away programs.

Kentucky Honors Roundtable holds a conference each fall and spring semester, with the member schools alternating as hosts.
