News from The Mahurin Honors College

Seven Mahurin Honors College Students have been chosen as candidates for the 2020 Coming Home King. Mahurin Honors College Students Hudson Curry, Zach DeBord, Will Harris, Jeremy Latham, Stephen Mayer, Colton McGlone, and Nathan Terrell will all be considered for this award.

Twenty WKU students are candidates for the 2020 Coming Home King.

Candidates will participate in numerous activities next week, including a service outing at Rich Pond Elementary School on Tuesday (Feb. 4), an interview on Wednesday (Feb. 5) and a banquet on Feb. 8. WKU students will cast their votes for the Coming Home King on Monday (Feb. 3) via TopNet.

The king will be crowned Feb. 8 during halftime of Hilltopper Basketball’s game versus Southern Miss. Tipoff is 6:30 p.m. at Diddle Arena.

The 2020 Coming Home King Candidates are:

• Reed Breunig of Springfield, the son of Larry and Pam Breunig. He is a Healthcare Administration major and is sponsored by Delta Zeta.
• Wood Brown of Princeton, the son of Will Brown and Jami Elam. He is a History and Economics major and Legal Studies minor and is sponsored by Chi Omega and Pi Kappa Alpha.
• Jason Cummings of Portland, Tennessee, the Joe and Kathy Cummings. He is a Psychological Sciences major and is sponsored by WKU Student Alumni Association.
• Hudson Curry of Somerset, the son of Arthur Curry and Anne Wallace. He is a Film major and Latin American Studies minor and is sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha.
• Zach DeBord of Somerset, the son of Jack and Kim Debord. He is an Agriculture major and Chemistry minor and is sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon and Sigma Alpha.
• Will Harris of Glasgow, the son of Mike and Krista Harris. He is a Corporate and Organizational Communication major and Marketing & Sales minor and is sponsored by Alpha Xi Delta.
• Jacob Howard of Bowling Green, the son of Ben and Tara Howard. He is an Accounting major and is sponsored by Phi Gamma Delta.
• Anthony Huskey of Louisville, the son of Lee Huskey and Janet Rollins. He is an Education major and is sponsored by National Pan-Hellenic Council.
• Anthony Itzol of Bowling Green, the son of Silvia Itzol and Mario Orellana. He is an International Business major and is sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi.
• Jonathan Jordan of Lexington, the son of Michael and Alicia Jordan. He is a Business Data Analytics major and Marketing minor and is sponsored by Alpha Gamma Delta.
• Jeremy Latham of Paducah, the son of David and Laurie Latham. He is a Biochemistry major and Economics minor and is sponsored by WKU Spirit Masters.
• Stephen Mayer of Louisville, the son of Marla Adams. He is a Biology major and Chemistry minor and is sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi.
• Colton McGlone of Harrodsburg, the son of Clay and Christie McGlone. He is a Civil Engineering major and is sponsored by Phi Delta Theta and Phi Mu.
• Alec Meunier of Santa Claus, Indiana, the son of Greg and Jennifer Meunier. He is a Biology major and Biophysics minor and is sponsored by FarmHouse.
• Blaine Mitchell of Nolensville, Tennessee, the son of Dwayne and Kelly Holiday. He is a Business Management major and is sponsored by Sigma Nu.
• Kenan Mujkanovic of Bowling Green, the son of Erma and Izet Mujkanovic. He is an Economics and Political Science major and is sponsored by WKU Student Government Association.
