Social Engagement

The Language Greenhouse pairs international students and domestic students together for language practice and culture sharing. With a combination of group events and individual meetings, throughout the semester students can hone their language skills and gain a deeper understanding of another student's culture (plus, our office provides vouchers for partners to meet up for coffee/tea!)

Apply for the spring 2024 program here! Applications due by Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Participants will be contacted within a week regarding their partner and spring events.

Chai Chats provide an opportunity for international students or faculty to share the coffee or tea tradition from their culture: how is it made, how is it shared with others, and what makes it special. Attendees get to learn more about the daily traditions of cultures around the world and sample each beverage!

Events take place once a month on Thursays at 3:30pm in HCIC 3055.
