WKU Archives - Services & Fees
WKU Archives materials are accessed online through KenCat or in person in the Harrison-Baird Reading Room located on the second floor of the Kentucky Building.
Photocopying / Document Reproduction Services
Photocopies may be obtained of most items in the WKU Archives at a cost of $.10 per page. Some fragile items may have restrictions regarding photocopies.
The Harrison-Baird Reading Room is equipped with microfilm readers/printer/scanner. Copies are made by the researcher at a cost of $.25 per page.
Digitization is free to WKU students, faculty and staff for class assignments or work related projects.
Digitized copies of documents may be obtained of items in WKU Archives upon consultation with the archivist at a cost of $1.00 per page.
Digitized copies of other formats may be obtained for a negotiated fee based on amount of material, condition and other factors.
Copies and digital surrogates are made by the staff or third party vendors and collection policy prohibits the copying of restricted materials, complete oral histories or complete collections.
Photograph Reproduction
Most photographs in the WKU Archives may be reproduced as jpg, tif or pdf files. We no longer print photographs for patrons. This service is free for WKU students, faculty and staff working on class assignments or work related projects.
Fees for personal use:
Scan (72 dpi) - $5.00 each
Scan (300 dpi) - $10.00 each
Scanning to CD add $3.50 per CD
One Time Publication / Exhibition Fees
Non-commercial - $25.00
Commercial - $100.00
All orders are processed in the order received, rush orders may be subject to additional fees.
Make checks payable to the WKU Archives. Cash and interdepartmental transfers are also accepted.
