Research interests include information-seeking behavior of first-year students, students in transition, military history, 20th-century American social history, and information literacy.
Sara arrived at WKU as a freshman in 1995. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in History, she began working in the University Library’s Department of Special Collections as an Archival Assistant. During the next six years, Sara completed graduate degrees in History from WKU and Library and Information Science from Florida State University. In August 2005, Sara began working with the University Experience program as an Instructor and Library Skills Coordinator. In July 2011, Sara became the University Experience Coordinator. She is married to James and they enjoy traveling. Some of their favorite destinations are Walt Disney World, Disneyland, San Diego, New York City, Hawaii, and Portland, OR.
